Family Camp is a Blast!

For those of you not familiar with “Family Camp”, it is four day three night gathering with other Christian families from Free Methodist Churches in Oregon. The Christian conference center we meet at is located just outside of Turner, OR and has a number of different accommodations from RV sites to motel like rooms. What makes Family Camp such a great vacation option is that you get to hang out with people from the church and participate in morning and evening programs that can help you grow in your faith.
This year David Carr, a dynamic pastor from England, minister to us. He challenged many of us to live for Christ at all times and to seek out the things God has planned for us.
I enjoyed so much the opportunity to sit down with 40 or so others from our church at camp and laugh, tell stories, and share what God was doing in our lives. And the kids had a blast.
Next year we might consider making Family Camp and Church camp-out and cancel church on that Sunday so that more of can attend. What do you think?
