Homeless

Just outside my office a homeless man in his 40’s has made a temporary home for himself.  He sleeps on the concrete near our recycling bins where the roof overhangs to provide shelter from the rain.

This is What We Train For

Last week I attended a meeting where one of the Bishops in my denomination was speaking.  He started off sharing about his son.  His son, who was in late 20’s, had been diagnosed with cancer and died this past year.

Fresh Snow

We start life kind of like a untouched snowy field; beautiful and pristine.  But over time because of our choices or the choices of those around us, our field gets trampled, dirtied, and grass starts poking through.  Maybe someone even takes a 4 x 4 and does cookies in it.  We look at our life, and it is a mess.
