What a great service this Easter morning. The highlight for me was seeing six people baptized. One young man (Rhet) was especially meaningful to me. Rhet “visited” our church for the first time about a month ago. His visit was a little unusual in that Rhet and his girlfriend were homeless and they slept under a covered space at our church.

I am not particularly fond of detours because they typically take longer. But a detour is better than trying to drive over a washed out road or bridge! I guess when you consider the alternative, I am thankful that there is another safer route I can take.
